The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and AMP have been in communication regarding changes in licensing laws and rules brought about by the Real Estate License Act of 2010. During the transition period (January 1, 2010 through April 30, 2012) the Illinois Salesperson Examination and Illinois Broker Examination will avoid testing on aspects of licensing requirements and other laws and rules that are in a state of change.
It is the policy of IDFPR and AMP that real estate licensure examinations reflect current laws and rules, and examinations are updated to reflect changes as soon as possible after changes go into effect. Candidates are advised to be aware of changes in laws and rules during this time of transition and to always respond to examination items based on laws and rules in effect at the time of the examination.
