AMP is dedicated to ensuring that our company and employees have a positive influence on our communities, internally, locally and globally.

AMP is proud to be a positive influence in our local and national communities. AMP partners with its parent company, the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC) to jointly fund a number of educational and research opportunities in respiratory care. AMP annually contributes funding to the American Respiratory Care Foundation by endowing three scholarships and a research grant. To further strengthen the respiratory care community, AMP supports the Lambda Beta Society, the national academic honor society for the respiratory care profession. Locally, AMP Team members give their time and money to support numerous charities in the Kansas City area. Most recently, AMP contributed to the Arthritis Foundation of Greater Kansas City, American Heart Association, Meals on Wheels, NAACP, Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Salvation Army, and the Tony Gonzalez Foundation. AMP embraces the opportunity to “give back” to our community, never forgetting our respiratory therapy heritage and the need to remember those less fortunate.

AMP has established several green initiatives to promote sustainable living and conserve our environment for generations to come. Our headquarters is located in an energy efficient building that uses all Energy Star appliances, energy efficient fluorescent lighting and non-CFC-based refrigerants in the HVAC system. We have adopted an extensive recycling program and reuse many boxes from incoming shipments for outgoing needs. AMP has also enrolled in a power curtailment program that helps conserve energy during periods of high demand. We are reducing mailings by increasing electronic communication to clients and industry partners. In addition, AMP provides environmental education and a green transportation rewards program for employees.

AMP is proud to support the Olathe Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Key AMP staff are active in both organizations and Lori Tinkler, MBA, Chief Operating Officer currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Olathe Chamber.
