The heart of any credentialing program is the job analysis: a systematic process of collecting, analyzing and documenting judgments made about important information related to the nature of the job. Over the past 20 years AMP has conducted over 200 job analysis studies. Our research and development department consists of doctorate level program directors with extensive experience in the fields of measurement and assessment.
Working closely with the client, we identify and select experts in the field to serve on an Advisory Committee to provide technical assistance during the job analysis study. AMP and the committee design a questionnaire consisting of instructions, a list of job activities, rating scale(s) and pertinent demographic questions, and AMP provides the questionnaire to a representative sample of job incumbents for completion either by mail or via the Internet. AMP then enters and analyzes all returned questionnaires to identify major and sub-content categories and develops a job-related test content outline.
