The implementation of iMIS e-Series software modules, developed by Advanced Solutions International, Inc., provides the ability to offer online meeting registration and online membership record and renewal management. e-Series places our management clients in the forefront of technology, allowing their members an interactive experience within the realm of each association's own website. Members benefit from the convenience of real-time, online meeting registration, as well as the ability to renew, join or simply view their membership record information.

In 1998, AMP made the significant decision to invest in and launch use of the Integrated Management Information System (iMIS) database software. Specifically designed for the association industry, iMIS uses module technology to fully integrate membership, meeting, certification and accounting activities in one interconnected database for each client. With unlimited demographic tracking, vast customized reporting capabilities, and the ability to interface with a variety of other software programs, iMIS has consistently proven to fulfill and exceed AMP's needs. The database software resides on AMP's local area network for access by the staff. Recognizing the importance of meeting the demands and challenges of changing technology, AMP ensures that the management division remains on the cutting edge of technology by implementing iMIS system upgrades and enhancements as they become available.

One such enhancement is the addition of e-Series modules. AMP's management client members can conduct their business via the Internet and transactions will integrate with the iMIS database immediately, thus automating back office procedures such as data entry and payment processing (credit cards). This synchronization means that there is no need to manually re-key information or transfer website data to and from iMIS. Secure data flows directly into iMIS as meeting registrations and/or membership transactions are performed online at the convenience of the member or meeting attendee.

With this new online application, the rate at which information is disseminated to conference attendees, association members or those interested in joining an association is enhanced. Instead of static web pages to download or view, or waiting on registration forms to arrive via mail or fax, individuals can interactively handle their "e-business" by credit card payment and choose how their information will appear on their name badge, membership directory or computer listing.

e-Series is currently being utilized in the meeting registration arena with great success. End users have found the system to be both functional and user-friendly, while our staff have found that their productivity has increased, allowing them time to focus on other critical areas of managing the client associations.
