Research Associate
The Research and Development Department has an opening for a versatile individual to provide a wide range of psychometric support to various client programs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting job analyses and other research studies.
- Developing examination specifications.
- Training item writers.
- Participating in examination review meetings
- Conducting and reviewing item analyses
- Conducting standard setting studies
- equating, and in general, helping to ensure the psychometric integrity of examination programs.
Requirements Include:
- Masters Degree in I/O Psychology, Measurement, or Education. One year of experience in testing/measurement preferred.
- Strong quantitative skills required, including experience with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical packages. Knowledge of statistics and testing/measurement issues required (e.g., mean, SD, SEM, correlation, reliability, validity). Advanced statistical knowledge (e.g., IRT, multivariate statistical methods) preferred.
- Skill in word processing and spreadsheet programs (e.g., WORD, Excel).
- Good oral and written communication skills. Can communicate effectively and competently with clients and committees.
- Ability to meet multiple demands and deadlines.
- Ability to assist in the coordination, planning, and monitoring of all phases of examination programs.
- Flexibility in using diverse approaches to meet various project requirements.
- Ability to work well, and communicate with others within the organization.
